Paying Too Much or Too Little? How Do You Know?

Are you paying too much or too little for your rent on your apartment or house? If you are a landlord, how do you know what the market rate is for rents in your area without consulting a professional? How do you get your baseline information?

Here at My Rent Rates, we have the answer, and it's right on our home page. You can enter your property address, and analyze the rent rates in your area for similar spaces.

For a tenant, this is a great tool. It means you can see what the average rent is in your area for homes that are a comperable size. For a landlord, you can have a ballpark idea of what a 2 bedroom apartment goes for on your street in a two family home.

You can also run the addresses of neighboring properties, and see how they compare. As a landlord, you may want to engage a property manager or realtor, who will have access to the local multiple listing service to give detailed comparisons. It's good for you to have a localized, reasonable idea of the marketable rent in your area, and what income a tenant should have to apply.

Best of all, your search is free! You don't even have to register to run the search. But we'd like it if you do, so that you can create an account, save the address, and have us send you updates when market conditions change.

Yes, it's free. And no salesperson will call.

What are you waiting for? Go to our My Rent Rates homepage, and see for yourself!

We will soon have My Rent Rates forums added, so that you can ask questions, and chat with other tenants, owners, and property managers.
