Security Deposit

How do I get my security deposit back? I moved out a month ago and have heard nothing and the landlord does not return my phone calls

Hi Airdad,

You have a right to your security deposit, or at least to an explanation of how it was applied to damages, back rents, etc. Check out our article here:

Thanks that is a good article! I had no trouble with my last landlord. It took a few weeks to get the check, but they were in touch by email about everything.
